Cerebral palsy – orthopaedics

The paediatric orthopaedic team offer a comprehensive service to children from Sheffield and the surrounding areas who have cerebral palsy.

Shared care of spinal and limb problems is offered by all our surgeons and their teams.

Specialised gait analysis is available at one of the only accredited centres in the UK, to ensure optimum management of walking problems. We are able to interpret the results and advise on the most appropriate treatment plan for each child.

Treatments range from splinting with physiotherapy, Botox therapy, soft tissue release surgery, through to complex bony procedures to realign and fix limbs and the spine.
