The library supports the Trust’s commitment to the health and wellbeing of its staff by providing the following:

  • leisure reading – we have a range of fiction, non-fiction and poetry books
  • reading group – 5.15pm to 6.15pm (virtual meeting at present)
  • colouring in – colouring sheets and coloured pencils for adults are available free to use in the library
  • refreshments – tea, coffee, hot chocolate and biscuits are available for purchase which you may consume in the library and a soft seating area is provided, a hot water dispenser and cold water cooler are also available for you to make your own drinks
  • study space away from office
  • ‘Book a Librarian’ service – training tools, resources and time efficiency
  • blog – includes local events and recipes as well as health information and news
  • Randomised Coffee Trials (RCTs) – sign up to be randomly matched with another member of Sheffield Children’s staff.
