The Medical Education department ensures that doctors in training are competent to practice by quality assuring the training and assessments provided by the Trust.
We also assist with the facilitation of continuing professional development for career grade staff.
Where problems are identified, structured training programmes and remedial support can be tailored to meet the needs of the individual doctor.
Our Education & Skills Centre has a suite of well-equipped rooms which are used for a variety of education and training activities.
The centre is open Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm and all facilities are available to hire for training events and conferences.
The facilities include a lecture theatre and three seminar rooms, each with audio-visual equipment. In addition to this clinical skills and resuscitation training equipment can be pre-booked with the Clinical Skills team.
