Sheffield Children’s NHS Foundation Trust is working in partnership with the British Academy of Childhood Disability (BACD) to offer a Variations in Vision in Childhood course.
Audience: Paediatricians, but the course may also be of interest and benefit for other practitioners working with children with vision impairments across agencies and settings.
Duration: Four months distance learning.
This course is developed from Unit 10 Vision and Hearing from the Paediatric Neurodisability Course
By the end of this course, you will be able to:
Understand the pathology and pathophysiology relating to vision impairments and synthesise this into clinical practice:
Assess and manage children and young people with vision impairments:
Make informed judgements within this area of neurodisability, knowing when to ask for help and when to refer on.
