Thank you to everyone for your contributions during We Care Thank You Fortnight in January, it was an amazing success!
We have created a review of the entire fortnight, take a look now!
This webpage will continue to focus on recognising colleagues at Sheffield Children’s and the importance of saying thank you to each other.
If you’re based at the Western Bank site you may have seen the treat trolley that was launched during the Thank You Fortnight. Run by our amazing volunteers, this trolley will continue to visit areas across the site in the coming weeks.
During the Thank You Fortnight, some colleagues told us that they were finding it difficult to get away from their work and take a break during their working day. It is really important that everyone gets the opportunity to have a break and refreshments, so if you find yourself in this position please talk with your line manager in the first instance to see what can be done and if necessary ask them to raise with the Care Group’s senior leadership team.
We will also launch a Trust wide campaign in the You Matter newsletter to highlight and focus on the importance of taking breaks along with some tips and advice on how colleagues and managers can work together to make sure everyone has the chance for a break.
Watch out for more details on this page when it’s launched.
Thank you fortnight was about saying thank you to you… but it doesn’t end there. We would love to encourage everyone to continue saying thank you to each other throughout the year.
To help you do that, here are some downloadable thank you e-cards you can send to Sheffield Children’s colleagues, volunteers, or those working in our partner charities.
Something as simple as a thank you can mean so much to someone… so who will you say thank you to?
Not sure how to word your thank you? Here are some examples of the sorts of things you might want to say, taken from previous compliments sent to colleagues.
You can also share your thank yous publically. Add them to the intranet noticeboards, share them on social media using the hashtag #SheffChildrensThankYou or drop an email to the Communications Team (scn-tr.communications@nhs.net) so we can include them in a future celebratory newsletter.
These materials are intended to support managers to give feedback to your teams, celebrate achievements, hold great 121s and more. Take a look at the library below for more details.
Feel free to make it a celebration in your team!
Share your compliments in team meetings or create a thank you wall in your area by using a noticeboard to display thank you cards and messages. Or maybe just take some time together to do something fun.
Thank you to our colleagues for entering the Thank You Fortnight competition! The winners have been drawn and contacted.
