Qualifications
I previously worked at The Royal Free Hospital specialising in Infectious and Tropical diseases. Following this I moved to education and worked as a deputy manager with additional SENCO role (Special Educational Needs Co-ordinator). In 2003 I moved to Rotherham General Hospital, Child Development Centre, working within an MDT team assessing children with additional needs and working in both hospital and in the community. I joined the team at Sheffield Children’s Hospital in August 2018 to work as a Specialist Sleep Practitioner.
My work involves providing specialist sleep advice to educate and support parents / carers and children / young people. I also support patients within the hospital with sleep needs and also support the specialist physiologists with their diagnostic sleep assessments. As a sleep practitioner, I work closely with the other members of the sleep nursing team. I undertake clinical audits, research and support other staff in the Paediatric Sleep Disorders Service as part of my role.
