John Williams

John joined Sheffield Children’s as the Executive Director of Finance in July 2019,

John previously worked as Deputy Director of Finance at Chesterfield Royal Hospital NHS Foundation Trust, leading its Finance and Contracting Services and also served periods as Acting Director of Finance. He has also had senior roles at Derby Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust.

John is a graduate of Sheffield Hallam University, the NHS National Graduate Training Scheme and an Associate of the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants.

Along with Trust finances John is also responsible for Digital, Estates and Procurement Services and leads the delivery of the Trust Green Plan. 

He represents the Trust as a director of Legacy Park Limited, a company committed to the regeneration of the Olympic Legacy Park and is chair of the Healthcare Financial Management Association (HFMA) Environmental Sustainability Special Interest Group.
