John Adler

I was elected in September 2020 as a Public Governor for the Sheffield constituency.  This followed a 35 year career in senior NHS management, including periods in Sheffield, Birmingham, London and Leicester.  I am originally from Essex but have lived in Sheffield for the past 23 years.  I have now retired but have taken on a range of voluntary roles, mainly involving the Great Outdoors.  At Sheffield Children’s, I am a member of the committee which appoints the Non-Executive Directors to the Board of Directors.  I am also the Governor observer on the Board Quality Committee, where I aim to add value through my experience in safety and quality improvement in the NHS.
