I am a Consultant Clinical Psychologist specialising in child and adolescent mental health.
Since 2005 I have been a team leader for 3 multi-disciplinary CAMHS teams in Sheffield
I am an honorary lecturer in the Clinical Psychology department at the University of Sheffield and provide regular supervised clinical placements for trainee clinical psychologists.
My main clinical interests and experience are in the area of developmental difficulties and trauma and attachment interventions although I provide a wide range of interventions including CBT, EMDR, family work, person-centred counselling and psycho-education.
I lead and co-facilitate a Fostering Attachments group for parents and carers of children who have been adopted, fostered or in kinship care. I have also been involved in championing the needs of adoptive parents and their families through the organisation of conferences with international speakers to educate professionals and parents.
