Here at Sheffield Children’s we understand that coming to hospital you may have some questions about what happens before, during and after an appointment. Be guided by patients Molly and Tendo, as they share what happens in each section of their hospital visit.
Each video includes signing throughout thanks to our volunteer Chris.
These videos aim to help patients and families prepare for their appointments and reduce any anxiety about coming to hospital.
They were created as part of the Modernising Outpatients Programme, which seeks to improve the quality and efficiency of the service delivered to patients and families.
Follow Molly as she visits the Sheffield Children’s Outpatients Department for her appointment.
Lots of patients come here for an appointment and they’re measured for height and weight. Watch Tendo be measured before his appointment.
Tendo shows us what happens at an appointment for a blood test.
Tendo shows us what happens if you need your urine tested at an outpatient appointment.
