‘Take care of your teeth’ – that’s Sheffield Children’s message to children and young people on Super Saturday 5 March, this weekend.
NHS Super Saturdays are supported by children’s hospitals around the country and are all about reducing waiting times and ensuring children and young people get the care they need as quickly as possible.
And, as part of a wide range of activities organised for this Super Saturday, Sheffield Children’s is taking the ‘Take care of your teeth’ message out across the whole of the South Yorkshire region to ensure children don’t develop unnecessary tooth decay post pandemic.
The hospital has also announced it is supporting local school tooth-brushing clubs for a year which will help an anticipated 2,300 children to maintain healthy teeth.
Family retailer Tesco is supporting Sheffield Children’s by promoting healthy teeth tips and facts at 40 of its regional stores on Super Saturday, and will give away a quantity of free toothbrushes and toothpaste at selected larger stores in South Yorkshire.
