We are delighted to announce that five Psychological Wellbeing Practitioner Trainees have started in our Child and Adolescent Mental Health Service (CAMHS) in April 2017.
They will be offering low-level cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT) intervention for children and young people in Sheffield, with a focus on early help for anxiety or low mood.
This is a new and exciting service that has been successful in adult services and is being trialed in children’s services across the country. The trainees are currently undertaking a one year evidence-based CBT course at Northumbria University.
Referrals can be made though Sheffield Futures, the Multi Agency Support Team (MAST) and CAMHS.
