I was elected as a Public Governor representing the Sheffield constituency in July 2021.
I am passionate to serve as a governor at Sheffield Children’s as a result of the time I spent there as both an in-patient and out-patient during my childhood and adolescent years. Since then I have also had a number of roles at the Trust in the: physiotherapy department, chaplaincy, newsagents and the Charity. I have experienced first-hand the incredible service the Trust provides.
I am presently studying towards an MSc in Health and Social Care Leadership. I am particularly interested in the holistic care of patients, families and healthcare workers, including lifestyle medicine and illness prevention. I enjoy pioneering new initiatives, meeting new people and investing in those relationships. I am enthusiastic to support the Trust in whatever way I can as we further develop the breadth and quality of services we offer to children and their families.
I am happy to hear from staff, parents, service users and members of the public and will do my best to ensure your views are heard. I can be contacted on nicole.adams4@nhs.net
