• Intraluminal oesophageal impedance and pH in the assessment of gastro-oesophageal reflux and temporal causal relationship with cardio-respiratory events in a randomised placebo-controlled study of esomeprazole in preterm and term neonates. Head of multi-disciplinary research team. MD supervision. External funding.
• Confocal endomicroscopy in the non-biopsy assessment of mucosal pathology in paediatric enteropathy, ileo-colitis, and polyp syndromes. MD supervision. External funding.
• Interventional therapeutic anti-reflux endoscopy for the treatment of gastro-oesophageal reflux of childhood.
• Endoscopic pyloromyotomy for the treatment of pyloric stenosis in childhood.
• Prophylactic intervention with the anti-fibroblastic agent mitomycin C for the prevention of caustic ingestion-associated oesophageal stricture formation in children.
• Use of a novel propulsion agent, tegaserod, in the treatment of GORD in infants and children. Proposed external funding under consideration.
