Profile

I am a consultant in Allergy, Immunology and Infectious Diseases; currently I concentrate on Immunology and Infectious Diseases in addition to my role as the Chief Clinical Information Officer for the Trust.

I studied in Liverpool, but my training has taken me to New Zealand, Canada and the USA as well as different hospitals across the North West and London before I came to Sheffield Children’s NHS Foundation Trust as a consultant in January 2014. I have been a consultant since July 2011. I undertook a specialist fellowship in The Hospital for Sick Children in Toronto, Canada.

My areas of particular interest are clinical infection, travel health and joint working with microbiology. I am the lead for the Antimicrobial and Antifungal Stewardship Team. I contribute to national and international research studies.

I am also passionate about using technology to enhance patients’ and their families’ healthcare and experience while enabling staff both clinical and non-clinical to be the best that they can be in their roles at work.
